Why Testing?
As helping professionals, the goal is to provide accurate and potent treatment through a careful and thorough approach. Quality testing is an invaluable tool in helping the family and treatment team understand an individual’s unique needs, and informs the use of evidence-based treatment moving forward. Many diagnoses have overlapping symptoms, leading to unintentional misdiagnosis or misunderstanding of true underpinnings. As such, testing is especially essential for more complex or chronic presentations, where typical treatment approaches have been less successful or greater support and accommodations are needed.
